Hi / Hallo / Bonjour!
I received my PhD in Educational Research with a focus in Qualitative Methodology from the University of Alabama in the Spring of 2025. My research explores second language (L2) acquisition and pedagogy in a post-secondary context.

As a researcher, I am committed to enhancing the accessibility of my contributions to education research to a broad audience. I am especially dedicated to carrying out innovative participant-centered research in ethical ways.
I previously graduated from The University of Alabama with a degree in German Studies (BA '10) and Germanic Philology (MA '17). During my MA, I taught German language courses, which sparked my interest in how pedagogical practices shape the teaching experience and identities of of graduate teaching assistants.
While working toward my PhD, I worked as a Qualitative Research Assistant for the University of Alabama's Research Assistant Services, supporting students and faculty of diverse disciplines in a variety of capacities. In that role, I advised scholars from a multitude of academic disciplines on qualitative and mixed methods research projects, giving feedback and helping design robust data collection, data security plans, analyses, and IRB protocols informed by a variety of theoretical frameworks. I've also worked as a freelance research consultant on a variety of projects in the fields of educational research and community-based participatory health research.

In my freetime, I'm a fulltime cat dad to Remy, avid car, train, and aviation enthusiast, and enjoy plane-spotting, playing video games, traveling, and learning about art and architecture.
